Beautiful, healthy and white teeth will instantly improve any smile and shine as the most wonderful ornament on anyone’s face. It is therefore not surprising that many people dream about this perfect smile that has a positive impact on self-confidence and may open many doors and opportunities.
Antiaging is a concept that is not limited exclusively to skin, face and body care products. Youth is primarily a state of mind. Our body, on the other hand, is something that needs to be approached in a holistic way – having beautiful skin on our faces will not make us appear any younger unless it is accompanied by other positive changes we make.
What exactly are antiaging treatments for teeth?
Antiaging dentistry refers to any change in your smile that has a positive and refreshing effect on your appearance. This change will turn back the clock by at least a couple of years. If you are considering dental anti-aging treatment, please note that it is not reserved for older people suffering from severe dental conditions. Young people who are not pleased with how their smiles look and want to make corrections to achieve prettier, lighter (sometimes also reshaped) and generally healthier-looking teeth reach out to us on a daily basis.
Two methods are available to quickly and easily rejuvenate you – veneers or teeth whitening, or even a combination of the two! Many patients choose to have their smiles embellished by veneers, which are most commonly placed on the front upper teeth, whereas the rest of the upper and lower teeth are whitened to achieve a balanced and embellished smile.
A veneer is a prosthesis as thin as an eggshell, which is permanently fitted onto the front surface of your teeth, thus instantly changing the line of your teeth and your smile. You may want to choose this solution if you would like to make a major change and the condition of your teeth is fairly good (heathy natural teeth are one of the requirements for veneers). The number of veneers we can place depends on our professional assessment, your preferences and the budget you are willing to invest in your new smile.
After veneers are placed on the front surface of your teeth, you will not feel any effects of the treatment in your gums because this treatment is the gentlest one on your gums, causing no inflammation or recession between teeth. In other words, your minimal involvement will bring about a major change in you!
There are several ways to achieve a whiter smile before choosing to go with veneers – our experts recommend so-called home whitening, a method that uses splints. Please note that, if you choose to undergo this treatment, it must be done before placing veneers because they cannot be bleached. We will determine their color after the whitening treatment.
Whitening is a simple method that you practice in the comfort of your own home, achieving excellent results. The splints to be given to you after you visit us and after your impressions are taken digitally can be ready within 24 hours. They are filled with special gel that makes your teeth appear extra white and must be used for 7 hours without interruption, preferably while sleeping. This is a painless treatment without any adverse impact on your teeth.
The smile rejuvenation process can be completed in only 3 visits!
To make your veneers, we will use the finest porcelain that perfectly imitates the appearance, structure and transparency of your natural teeth to which we secure them. The veneer placement process begins with a thorough examination to determine whether or not you are eligible for veneers. We will then proceed to minimally grind your teeth (removing only one third of a millimeter) and take your impression.
While waiting for your veneers to be completed in our dental lab, you will be provided with temporary veneers, chiefly designed to protect your teeth while you wait for your permanent porcelain veneers to be made.
After the veneers are tried on and both parties are happy with the change, we will cement them to your teeth. Is there a nicer way to mark the year 2024 as a year of positive change in your life?
